Women United celebrates the power of women to bring about positive change in our community through fundraising, volunteering, networking, and learning opportunities that focus on education and early-childhood development. We have two very special guests for the occasion; Jennifer Reeves, Community Outreach Coordinator for the University of Florida Literacy Institute (UFLI), who will be introducing our main speaker, Dr. Valentina Contesse, Clinical Assistant Professor of Special Education in the School of Special Education, School Psychology, and Early Childhood Studies at the University of Florida (UF) and Assistant Director of the University of Florida Literacy Institute (UFLI).

We believe that literacy is the cornerstone of a child's success. Our ReadingPals program is a powerful initiative that pairs dedicated volunteers with young students (pre-k through 3rd grade) to foster a love for reading and build essential literacy skills.
